There was 14 of us that attend the decor is 100, the music was 100 (RnB) but it was a little loud at times we found ourselves having the shout.The food portions were just right and no complaints from either of the 14 dishesThe Soul Food Platter is well worth the money (picture attached)Overall, a great dining experience. I wish I could have posted a photo of our food. My wife and I travel to eat religiously. I honestly can’t believe we didn’t try The Soul House sooner. It’s right on our door step. The food is to die for. I think it’s the first time my wife hasn’t took a photo before digging in. Presentation is bang on, the marinated jerk chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. Presentation of the drinks matches those of high end restaurants in the city. I see a great future for The Soul House especially given the chilled, classy atmosphere with live music, cherry blossom decor and a great crowd. Will deffo be recommending friends family and colleagues. Thanks for a great night and big shout out to the kitchen staff, waitresses, management and live singers. Restaurant is lovely the interior & staff are superb. We had lamb chops cooked amazingly also had the soul house special prawns tasted amazing. Jerk chicken was more bone then meat but honestly tasted amazing. May I add they is a certain dress code which we wasn’t aware of but we will definitely visit this place to try the soul house platter

Went for a birthday meal at this restaurant yesterday was a big party of us and the service we received from are waiter deshane was excellent the food was amazing and very good value for money. Have to say haven't been to a great restaurant like this in a long time was really happy with ever part of my experience. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the music selection was spot on. I will be recommending the soul house to my family and friends. This place is a must to eat at.

We chose the Soulhouse for our 2023 Christmas works meal. There was a group of 10 of us. We booked in advance and had a brilliant service organising the menus and orders in advance. Service last night was outstanding by a fantastic and lovely guy called Rion. What an absolute top guy! The food was stunning and they also catered really well for one of our guests who has a dairy allergy. The atmosphere was wonderful and we had a really special night.

We decided to explore this restaurant as we've been referred by some friends. Booking beforehand is highly recommended and absolutely worth it. Smart-casual dress code - check with restaurant for accurate attire. Check with the restaurant about child-free evenings, as some evenings children under 18 aren't accommodated, which creates a pleasant atmosphere for couples wanting to have some bonding time, such as date nights. Larger groups can also be accommodated.Restaurant is clearly visible from roadside by outside signage stating "The Soul House." Free parking on premises with ability to accommodate 20-30 cars. Under-roof smokers friendly area in parking lot outside main entrance. Wheelchair accessible entrance and dining experience.Upon arrival, we were met by a doorman who was courteous and checked our booking. Inside, we were met by a sharply dressed hospitality worker, Reon, who was very friendly and welcoming and asked us about our seating preference. We asked for a table for two, secluded and intimate, which he was able to provide. Reon's service throughout the evening was above standard, allowing for a comfortable and relaxed experience.We were offered a flask of water for the table. The table was dressed stylishly minimalistic. The ambience and decor of the dining hall can be described as clean, stylish, modern, and chique, and somewhat intimate with dimmed lights and table candles. Seating for larger groups at one end of the dining hall is lit more than seating at the other end for smaller groups or couples, which lends to the romantic atmosphere for intimate couples.The decor and wall art is motivational, featuring pictures of famous artists with quotes. The bar area is eye-catching with well lit bottles of top-shelf products. The aroma of the venue is one of soul food, creating a good atmosphere and tantilising expectancy. Music is abundant, featuring mostly Soul music tying in well with the name, decor, and food. It's loud, however, not overbearing, and conversation can flow easily.The cocktailmenu is varied with the choice of either alcohol or alcohol-free. We tried the Mango Swim, which was above expectation. It can be described as a wonderfully Caribbean taste with mango flavour as the high note with a subtle background flavour of coconut. Thick yet smooth in texture: Delicious, and we opted for this as our drink of choice throughout the evening. There is a wine list also. However, we did not explore this option.The menu is varied in choice, yet minimalistic: not be overbearing. The menu can be described as a mix of Caribbean and Southern cuisine: exceptionally tasty!Our starter comprised of creamy garlic mushrooms and scallops. Well worth the expense! We've had scallops at high-end Michelin restaurants before, but the Soul House scallops top the best of them! Only down side was that a piece of crusty bread would have done well to soak up the creamy-buttery sauce of the scallops.For the main, we opted for a platter to share (for 2), which gave us an experience of most of the menu items in one dish: The Soul House mixed grill: Lamb, Jerk-Chicken, Chicken Wings, Hake and King Prawns. Every single item was prepared to perfection. The dish looked visually appealing: art on a plate (the photos do not do it justice). Often, one finds that food is good, but with each mouthful, it doesn't get any better. This is not the case with this meal or restaurant. The food is great (not just good), and every mouthful gets better. Tasty and tantilisingly seasoned, whilst being visually appealing. Some hints of spice-heat, but nothing scorching. The fish had some bones, which was expected, however, can catch you off guard. The lamb was exceptionally tender and juicy. The king prawns were well prepared and cleaned. All of the chicken options were decadent and mouthwateringly flavourful, with crunch skin and texture.A very great experience. Thank you to Reon for supperb hosting. Thank you to the chef also, who also made eye contact and was friendly.A great place and new favourite: highly recommended!!!

I cannot shout about this place enough! Spectacular food and the portions are very generous! Flavours for dayss!! I live far but I’m coming back!! Mac and cheese chefs kiss! Prawns were soo delicious. I didn’t try the cocktails but like i said i’ll be back! xx
